21/05/10 Essex County Council are looking to work with Essex-based firms to create 1750 new or additional apprenticeship opportunities for local Young People aged 16-18. Through the offer of wage subsidies of between 50 and 70% of the minimum apprenticeship wage, the Council are encouraging businesses who have either not taken on an Apprentice in the last two years, or who would not be in a position to do so without financial support, to get in touch and speak to the Skills Team at County Hall, Chelmsford. We can give you further details about the scheme as well as Apprenticeships themselves, support you to recruit an apprentice and then arrange their apprenticeship training (at no cost to your business) ,as well as provide the financial support specified if you meet our eligibility requirements. Call 01245 433077 to find out more.
